Facilities Open to Outside Bodies and Sports Membership Scheme

Yau Yat Chuen Garden City Club is a non-profit making private club that supports local sports development. The Club opens up the use of its sports facilities for leisure to the organizations that are listed under the following list of Eligible Outside Bodies during specific periods. In addition, the Club has “Sports Membership Scheme” to attract suitable sportswomen and sportsmen to join our Club and enable our Club to make greater sports contribution to Hong Kong.

In the newly “Revised Criteria for Sports Contribution Assessment”, the Club will be assessed to evaluate the sports contribution rendered. It will be a criterion for Government’s consideration on whether further renewal of the Club’s lease should be granted. The assessment items included:

  1. Whether the facilities at the site help alleviate pressure on public sports facilities in the district concerned;
  2. The extent to which the facilities are open up to eligible outside bodies and members of the public;
  3. Utilisation of the facilities by eligible outside bodies and members of the public;
  4. Providing facilities for “national sports associations” (NSAs) to promote sports in the community;
  5. Whether the site hosts league competitions organized by NSAs; and
  6. Other contributions towards sports development.

The Club will keep fulfilling responsibilities as a holder of Private Recreational Leases by promoting sports development in Hong Kong, and support the eligible outside to use our recreation facilities.

Booking Information

If your organization is listed under one of the Recognized Outside Bodies and would like to book our recreation and sports facilities, please fill in the “Recreation and Sports Facilities Reservation Form” and “Venue Reservation Form for Staging of INTERNATIONAL EVENTS” depending on your purpose and return it to the Club by fax at 3188 7194 for booking and rental arrangements.

Sports Membership Scheme

If the eligible person would like to apply for Sports Membership Scheme, please fill in the ““Sports Membership Application Form” and return it to the Club in person.
